Information
"Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. Yes, "information" is a really vague and un-informative name for a section of the site, isn't it? Isn't virtually everything on the World Wide Web supposed to be information? Cope! We are collectors of information on a variety of unrelated topics, so you'll just have to read along here and see if any of it is relevant or riveting. Bryan is a Programmer/hacker/Geek, whatever you want to call it. We have a list of computer books that he recommends, with Amazon links. We live in the Seattle area. As a result, we have a lot of area related information. If you want to see what it looks like, you might try these Seattle web cams. You can gaze adoringly at the city's famous phallic symbol, the Space Needle , University of Washington, . The transportation systems are in view with ferries, the major traffic routes, or the airport. Want to meet some wild life? You can spy on peregrin falcons, bald eagles, bats, harbor seals, bears or even salmon! If you are going to move here, or live here now, you might make use of our rather extensive list of Seattle Employment Links. Since all work and no play makes... no sense, frankly, feel free to peruse the list I am compiling of 101 Fun Things To Do In Seattle. If you have suggestions for additions please mail me! I have a long way to go on this project.
If you want to hang around with us, you might be invited to a fun event and you might need directions to our house.. You can sign up to be on our party notification mailing list. We are always trying to make new friends. We have recently met a large group of interesting folks that could loosely classify as "Tha Haunted folks" (I don't think they see dead people, not often anyway). We are trying to learn each other's names so I made a tribal roll to help us out. I have spent some time on Livejournal. I am not an expert, but I have developed a handy scripts and LJ links page which I use for shortcuts. If you frequent LJ, you might find it helpful. |
